1. What does this class cover?
Composting Critters are Cool looks at the important role decomposers have in nature when it comes to reducing waste and improving soil and plant health. The final activity encourages kids of all ages to go outside and look for these critters where they live.
2. What is the age range for this lesson?
This lesson is appropriate for all ages, though the reading level will be easier for 3rd graders on up. Younger kids would still enjoy the videos and the activity with a little direction from an adult.
3. Does this lesson require tools or special materials?
You will need to download and print off a scavenger hunt worksheet, but nothing more is needed unless you have a clipboard and pencil handy. Depending on where you look for decomposers, you may also want gloves and a hand trowel, but those are optional.
4. Do I have to pass the quiz to move to the next section?
